A sturdy frame is essential in creating a trustworthy therapeutic home for treatment. Here are the how’s, what’s, and why’s of my services.

fees and insurance

  • individual sessions are 50-53 minutes and currently $155 per session.

  • an individual consultation (or intake) hour is $184.

  • couples sessions are currently $185 per hour session.

  • couples intakes are $250 per 90 minutes.

I am an in-network provider with Premera Insurance. I am out-of-network for all other insurance companies.

If you do not have Premera Insurance I can provide you with a superbill for out-of network providers, or accept payment out of pocket. I am happy to provide a monthly superbill for insurance reimbursement. I recommend calling your insurance company to find out about your out-of-network benefits and to verify your reimbursement rate. Clients who submit for reimbursement are required to pay the full fee at the time of the session.

A GFE (good faith estimate) of expected charges is available and can be requested by patients who are using out-of-network insurance or are self-pay.

Where and when do you practice?

I practice Monday through Thursday and some Fridays. I see clients throughout Washington and Oregon states via telehealth ongoingly. I am in office a few days each month in Seattle for those who’d like to meet in person.

I’m interested in working with you. What are the steps to getting started?

You can contact me to set up an initial appointment; I look forward to hearing from you.

The consultation (or intake) hour gives us a chance to sit together, get to know one another a bit, and assess our working fit. You tell me about what brings you to therapy at this time, and how you’re hoping therapy might help. I will hold, reflect, and respond to your story. I can also provide more details about the way I work. You also have the opportunity to ask questions if you have them—either at the first session, or at any other later point in the therapeutic process.

Research confirms that the therapeutic relationship itself is essential to a good therapy experience. There should be a sense that you feel understood, and that it’s possible to be understood further. I look forward to the opportunity to earn your trust and confidence in our work together. If you decide we are not a fit, you will not be charged for the consultation.

Do you have sliding scale spots available?

I do sometimes have limited sliding scale spots available. When I do, my preference is to prioritize those individuals for whom a sliding scale makes therapy possible where otherwise it would not be. Please do not hesitate to inquire with me about my current sliding scale availability.

What is your cancellation policy?

I have a 48-hour cancellation policy. Please contact me to reschedule or cancel your appointment at least 48 hours before your scheduled session. If we are unable to find another time to meet in the calendar week, you will be charged in full for the session.

How does scheduling work? When will we meet?

It is my belief that a weekly commitment is the most generative way to be a participant in your own therapy practice. The weekly session hour you and I decide upon is your hour, consistently and reliably.

Sometimes meeting more than once a week is helpful in meeting current therapeutic needs and/or doing deeper work together. If you find yourself curious about this option or think it sounds useful, please let me know. I would be glad to explore this option further with you.
